Last spring while Amanda and Ivisited a neighbor home
we were treated to a beautiful
sign of a mother's concern for her young.
A Mother Quail had built a cozy nest
hidden in a potted plant on
Nan Johnson's front walkway.
The speckled eggs were well hidden
among the greenery.
Amanda was able to take this photo
looking down among the leaves
from an angle above the potted bush
using her cell phone camera.
